Essential guidance for your sanctuary stay and Machu Picchu expedition.
Arrival & Logistics
How do I find Tikary House from the train station?
We provide a complimentary station pick-up service. A member of our host team will meet you at the station exit with a "Tikary House" sign. They will assist with your luggage and guide you through the charming streets of Aguas Calientes to our door. Please provide your train details at least 24 hours in advance.
What are the check-in and check-out times?
Check-in begins at 1:00 PM and check-out is by 10:00 AM. These times allow us to ensure every sanctuary room is perfectly prepared for arriving explorers. If you arrive early or wish to stay late in town, we provide secure luggage storage at no extra cost.
Is luggage storage available during my tour?
Absolutely. You may store your bags in our secure luggage room while you visit the Citadel. Upon your return, you are welcome to relax in our common areas before your train departure.
Citadel Expedition
Do you offer early breakfast for morning tours?
Our organic breakfast service begins early to accommodate hikers. For those departing on the very first buses, we provide a "Gourmet Snack Box" to sustain you during your visit. Please notify reception by 7:00 PM the evening before your tour.
How do I get to the Machu Picchu entrance?
The Consettur bus station is a short walk from Tikary House. Buses run frequently to the entrance of the Citadel. We recommend purchasing your bus tickets the day you arrive in Aguas Calientes to avoid morning queues.
Can the hotel purchase my entry tickets?
Machu Picchu tickets are strictly personal and must be purchased via the official government portal (Joinnus) months in advance. While we cannot purchase them for you, our hosts can provide guidance on availability and navigating the local cultural center if you are looking for last-minute entrance options.

We accept Cash (USD or Peruvian Soles) and major Credit/Debit cards. Please note that card transactions incur a 5% processing surcharge. To maintain the 18% tax exemption for foreign tourists, you must present your physical passport and migration record upon check-in.
